Fix – Windows Defender Skipping Files Bug

Previously it was possible to fix the solution by Enabling Network Files Scanning in Windows Defender, but it was a temporary solution and not recommended by Microsoft. Microsoft was already aware of the issue and starting today rolled out an update KB4052623 for Windows Defender. The update will reach your computer via Windows Update in the next few days. KB4052623 for Windows Defender comes with monthly updates and fixes for the Antimalware platform that is used by Windows Defender Antivirus in Windows 10.
